A while back, a whole boatload of local and national artists were asked to take blank skateboard decks and turn them into original art pieces. Now, the pieces are all hanging at Bowbarr in Carrboro. As of September 9, there’s a silent auction going on for each and every one of them, and on September 23 the auction winners will be announced at a big party at the bar. All the proceeds from the auction go to the future Pittsboro Skatepark. I was asked to participate in this show by my friend Jeremy Lange, to whose heart this cause is near and dear. I am honored. I suggest you check out the event’s Facebook page and stop by the bar, because there’s some really happening shit hanging for this. For what it’s worth, here are a few pictures of my deck.
